Mit den LIVING COLORS Wesensportraits entsteht eine neue Serie, in der bisherige Inhalte der TRUE COLORS Serie formal und technisch erweitert wird. Kim Kluge, Freie Bildende Künstlerin und Masterdegree (Walter Dahn) portraitiert Künstler*innen, Schauspieler*innen, Politiker*innen und andere Persönlichkeiten des privaten und öffentlichen Lebens. Wesensportraits von Banksy, Warhol, Beuys, Herbert Grönemeyer, Basquiat, Michelle und Barack Obama, Kandinsky, Mark Rothko, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Frieda Kahlo, Beethoven und viele weitere….synästhetisch in Farben exprimiert. Hier geht es um Wesensportraits, die sich unseren üblichen Bewertungsmodellen mit Hilfe eines hohen Abstraktionsgrades entziehen und Nicht-Sichtbares Wissen um Wesenszüge in ein formales Konzept mit Filz und Farbe bringen. Kim Kluge ersetzt den Pinsel der Malerei durch eine Filznadel mit der sie das Gemälde von der Rückseite in einem meditativen und zeitintensiven Prozess Zentimeter für Zentimeter durchwirkt. Here we are dealing with portraits of beings that elude our usual models of evaluation with the help of a high degree of abstraction and bring non-visible knowledge of traits into a formal concept with felt and color. Kim Kluge replaces the brush of painting with a felt needle with which she interweaves the painting from the back in a meditative and time-consuming process centimeter by centimeter.
